  5. I would imagine that giving exogenous ketones would suppress your body's production of your own ketones. It's like that for other substances. If that's the case, you kind of become dependent on the exogenous supply. IF it's feasible, I would think staying in a diet where you produce your own ketones would be preferable. It's possible that that's not practical for all people, all situations. So i'm not outright criticizing giving exogenous ketones.
