  1. I am 81 years old. In 1957 I had an autoimmune event. I have reactive hypoglycemia (see thrifygene.net, no ads, no promotion). In 1964 I took a glucose tolerance test. The dumb specialist said I was prediabetic. Boy was he wrong. I took the test because I had all the symptoms of episodes of very low blood sugar. My test showed me that I was getting them 3 1/2 hours after eating too much sugar/starch/alchol. i modified my diet but not enough. About 16 years ago I put myself on a sever low carb diet. With this diet most of my symptoms slowly cleared but I gained weight. I was not eating a ketogenic diet. With that my weight would have ballooned. I cut the fat in the diet and lost weight. About 3 years ago I figured out what must be happening. Among the things it explained why women with my genetics get gestational diabetes. Why we do not lose weight on a low carb diet (unless we starve). What actually causes type 2 diabetes. See thriftygene.net.

  2. How about whole food plant based?? Much better, and a lot more research behind it, and isn't super unsafe and unhealthy, like keto is. Keto is not good for you; it creates intramyocellular lipids increasing which just increases insulin resistance… gosh. Y'all have some of the best plant-based docs there (Esselstyn) with years of research as evidence for those ways of eating, yet you guys keep pushing fad stuff… but keto will keep those cardiologists in business 😉

  4. Stop drinking alcohol and even caffeine!! These are the only drugs you are taking, and doctors will never tell you this useful information. Look up how dangerous these drugs are, and you will see the cause to most health issues/illness.
